Building software is very exciting. The wide-eyed rush you get when ideas begin to form can be overwhelming. Even as you decide what to name the project directory, you’re already making tech decisions; “What packages will I need?”, “This is a perfect use case for X!” While the technical aspect of your product idea is important (and fun!), you might be setting yourself up for failure.

That initial surge can carry you pretty far into a project. You might even make it to a functioning prototype. But, eventually, you’ll run into a wall; your day job, other projects…
